Final-Individual Design

"LIGHT & SPACE"
CLIENT:
A MID-20’S MAN WHO HAS A BUSY LIFESTYLE. HE WORKS DURING THE WEEK AND GOES OUT ON THE WEEKEND OR SOMETIMES HAS HIS MATES COME OVER HIS PLACE FOR A DRINK.

THE CONCEPT FOT THE DESIGN IS LIGHT AND SPACE. THE IDEA IS TO HAVE PROVIDE A
SPACIOUS WELCOMING PLACE FOR THE CLIENT. THE CHOSEN COLOUR PALETTE IS VERY LIGHT TO RELATE TO THE LOCATION OF THE APARTMENT AS WELL AS TO GIVE LIGHTNESS FEEL OF THE PLACE. THE FLOATING JOINERY CONCEPT IS ALSO INSPIRED BY THE LIGHT (FLOATING) AND SPACE (SPACIOUS).

THE BATHROOM HOWEVER HAS A DARKER COLOUR PALETTE BUT IS STILL CONTAINS THE ‘FLOATING’ CONCEPT. AS THE CLIENT IS A MAN, THE DARKER COLOUR OF THE BATHROOM LESSENS THE NEED FOR CLEANING (ALTHOUGH IT DOESN’T MEAN THAT HE DOESN’T NEED TO CLEAN ANYMORE!).

OVERALL, THE CHOSEN FIXTURES AND FITTINGS, LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND COLOUR FINISHES PROVIDES A MODERN BUT SIMPLE INTERIOR APPROACH FOR THE CLIENT.
